It is with great pride that EFFISA has the honor of being the Cover of the Industrial Magazine in the July 2023 edition, the most traditional and important magazine in the wood industry sector.
This issue is filled with important celebrations for us. In August of this year, we celebrate EFFISA’s 10-year anniversary.
We are also proud to announce our new international partnership with the Italian company MAKOR GROUP, which has been active for 55 years and is one of the world’s leading companies in surface treatment.
Furthermore, we have initiated the implementation process of ISO 9001.

We visited the LIGNA Fair in Hannover, Germany. The fair took place from May 15th to May 19th.

It was five intense days of visits, meetings, exchanging experiences, business and learning. We thank all our customers, suppliers and business partners who made this edition a success.
We returned home with a lot of work to be done, opportunities for improvements to be implemented, and the certainty that our relationship with customers, partners and suppliers will be even better.
Profiles are essential components in constructions and decorations, and the most common materials used for their fabrication are wood, PVC, and aluminum. Each of these materials has specific characteristics and different treatment processes.
Wood profiles are treated to increase their durability and improve their appearance. Treatment methods include plastering, laminating, and painting, as mentioned earlier. These profiles are widely used in decorations and constructions of rustic and cozy environments.
PVC profiles are resistant to moisture and corrosion, making them ideal for humid environments with high salinity incidence, such as coasts and coastal regions. Additionally, they have easier maintenance, as they do not require painting or varnishing. These profiles are widely used in windows, doors, and building facades.
Aluminum profiles are durable and corrosion-resistant, making them ideal for outdoor environments with high humidity and salinity incidence. They are also lightweight and flexible, allowing the manufacture of profiles with different shapes and designs. These profiles are widely used in doors, windows, facades, and metal structures.
Regarding profile exports, the global market is constantly growing. According to the MarketsandMarkets report, the global profile market is expected to grow from $26.3 billion in 2020 to $40.8 billion in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 9.2%.
The report also shows that the Asia-Pacific region is the largest market for profiles, followed by Europe and North America. Additionally, the construction sector is the main consumer of profiles, with the growing demand for sustainable and technologically advanced constructions driving the market.

We at EFFISA had the opportunity to join the delivery of the 2022 Reference award.
The event took place on November 29th, at the Porta Romana restaurant, in Curitiba (PR)
The Award Reference reaches its 20th anniversary edition. It’s been two decades congratulating the highlights of the forestry and timber sector.
With the start of operation of its own pellet factory in 2022, a modern factory unit with 50 thousand m² of constructed area in Venâncio Aires (RS), Haas Madeiras has a structure capable of producing 2.4 thousand tons of pellets per month, which also houses the deposit of this biomass that the company has invested in recent years.
“We are 49 years old and we have been changing in recent times. Wood pellets are not so new on the market, but we have a state-of-the-art factory working with eucalyptus. We are the first fully computerized factory integrated into a large sawmill that works with eucalyptus. I’m happy for the recognition”. thanked José Carlos Hass Junior, director of Haas Madeiras.
