FIMMA BRAZIL 2015
Those who participated in the 12th edition of FIMMA Brazil, as well as EFFISA, were able to take advantage of the opportunities of a compromised fair
with the development of the furniture chain: either with the generation of business for the exhibitors, with the diffusion of information and knowledge, with the presentation of launches, solutions and trends or with the strengthening of relationships.
The International Fair for Machinery, Raw Materials and Accessories for the Furniture Industry gathered from March 16 to 20, in Bento Gonçalves, about 600 exhibiting brands, 69% of which are national and 31% international, covering the branches of machines and the like (34%); accessories and components (29%), raw materials (20%); information technologies and services (10%) and tools (7%). These names attracted an audience of 33,575 visitors, who passed through the Parque de Eventos during the five days of the meeting, coming from all Brazilian states and more than 30 countries. The already expected decrease of approximately 17% in the flow, in comparison with the figures recorded in 2013, did not surprise or compromise the generation of business.
“The current situation forces companies to be much more economical in any action. In this way, instead of organizing a wider entourage of people to visit the fair for several days, they selected fewer professionals and they started to visit all the exposed product segments, reducing the time of stay in the fair including, in the majority maximum, two days. With this, the process became more objective and efficient – who was in FIMMA took the time to participate in the projects and to know the news and, mainly, to realize business. What most attracted attention was the qualification of the visitor: a prepared, focused audience – extremely useful for the exhibitor “, assesses the president of the 12th edition, Volmir Dias.
The proof of this assertion comes from the figures: FIMMA Brazil 2015 reached the business goal, accounting for US $ 297,911, according to preliminary data disclosed by the exhibitors. The machinery sector once again confirms its intense contacts, visualizing the search for innovative technology, productivity and quality in the production system generating many business opportunities. Raw materials and accessories had their appeal in the news and trends exposed, offering excellent opportunities for visitors to innovate and add differentials in their products. “We have the real feeling that FIMMA Brazil has once again fulfilled its mission of generating concrete returns for those who participate, contributing unquestionably to the resumption of business in the sector and development of the furniture chain. With this challenge of overcoming, we are already starting to align the preparations for the 2017 edition, with the objective of seeking a closer approximation of the wood and furniture production chain and all the links that unite and strengthen the furniture sector, being sure that we will reach our objectives: to seek solutions for all those involved in the fair, “comments the president of MOVERGS, the fair’s promoter, Ivo Cansan.
